This role is part of the partnership team - a group focused on building impactful, long-term relationships with key partners, working closely with both growth and R&D teams.


About the Role

  • Take ownership of Climatiq’s partnerships with data owners, including commercial, licensing, and go-to-market aspects
  • Drive the identification, acquisition, and launch of new partners on Climatiq’s data platform
  • Negotiate commercial and data licensing agreements with partners, working closely with legal stakeholders to agree mutually beneficial terms
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams, both within Climatiq and at our data partners, to identify and communicate “data market fit” and ensure success in market
  • Design and implement a scalable data licensing program, ensuring efficiency and consistency, while solving for both the needs of data owners as well as those of Climatiq’s customers
  • Shape product and data strategy, identifying key customer needs and providers who can solve for these, and seeing around the corner with respect to industry regulation and market trends


Role Requirements

  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience in partnerships or business development
  • Proven track record of leading and closing successful commercial negotiations, including working with legal counsel in a detailed manner
  • Exposure to or direct experience with data or content licensing
  • Excellent judgement working with customers, including strong empathy and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup or remote-first environment. Able to be proactive and self-motivated in ambiguous environments

  • Knowledge of the carbon accounting and/or environmental data space

  • Location: Berlin or Remote within +/- 2 hours of CET timezone
  • Starting date: As soon as possible
