Your Contribution
Are you curious about how data powers innovation in the hospitality industry? As a Working Student in Data Engineering at DISH, you will support the development of scalable data infrastructure that enables analytics, machine learning, and business insights. You will collaborate with experienced data engineers, analysts, and product teams to learn hands-on and contribute to impactful projects in the HoReCa sector.
Menu of Responsibilities
You will be part of our Data Insights Team, which includes 3 Centers of Excellence (CoE) and one platform team. With guidance and support, you will:
- Assist in maintaining and improving data pipelines and infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Support the development of ETL/ELT workflows using tools like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub
- Help implement data transformations using DBT and contribute to orchestration tasks with Airflow
- Participate in building APIs for data ingestion and integration under supervision
- Explore and experiment with LLM tools such as Vertex AI, Langchain, and LangGraph
- Collaborate in squad-based projects to translate business needs into data solutions
Ingredients for Success
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Solid foundation in Python and SQL
- Interest in cloud technologies and modern data engineering tools
- Exposure to Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, or machine learning frameworks is beneficial
- Motivation to learn, ask questions, and take initiative with the support of mentors
- Fluency in English, further languages are beneficial
