Your area of work

As a working student – Data Analytics (f/m/d) you will support the team in the StatistiX IT department significantly in the are of Data & Analytics. StatistiX is the Data platform of Deutsche Börse Group, serving vital business functions in Trading, Clearing, and Risk Management. It provides users around the world with invaluable market statistics, streamlined data services, powerful business intelligence and analytics. You'll join a dynamic, results-oriented team dedicated to delivering rock-solid, efficient solutions exactly when the business needs them. On our data journey, you will be actively involved in analysis, conception, and engineering of highly diverse project requirements giving you the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, tech-driven environment that adds value to business.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • You will provide support to the self-service data analytics team by assisting users with technical inquiries and resolving issues
  • You will assist in the development and maintenance of reports using Jupyter Notebooks/JupyterLab and/or Zeppelin
  • You will support with the creation of clear and concise guidelines for users on data analytics tools and best practices
  • In addition, you will collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization
  • Furthermore, you will utilize Python, Scala/Java, Spark/Pyspark to develop basic scripts for data analysis and machine learning

 

Your profile:

  • You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state recognized university as a regular student
  • You are detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • You have experience with Jupyter Notebooks/JupyterLab or/and Zeppelin and strong command of Python incl. pandas, basic familiarity in Scala/Java. Preferrable knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation would be an advantage
  • You have a good understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals and basic knowledge of concepts such as Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Cloud. Exposure to Spark/Pyspark for data processing and analysis is a plus
  • Additionally, you have effective communication skills for user support and guideline writing
  • Moreover, you are fluent in written and spoken English
