We are searching for the best talent for the position of Software DevOps Engineer (m/f/d), to be located in Munich, Germany. 

Classification: This position is assigned to the CBA salary group E12 or E13 (Chemical Tariff Hamburg) or to the non-tariff area depending on the experience and background qualifications.

Job Description:
 

We are looking for a Software Engineer with a focus in DevOps to join our team to improve engineering efficiency. The DevOps team manages the build system, CI/CD pipeline and plays a key role in the software development process.

You will be responsible for:

• Support the software development lifecycle through CI/CD pipeline development
• Advance and improve build and general support infrastructure
• Develop provisioning and deployment strategies
• Work with engineering teams to support their business requirements
   

Qualifications / Requirements:  

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or relevant field.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps or related field
• Experience with Linux and command line tools.
• Experience with automated build, continuous integration, and test automation systems via Jenkins or similar.
• Experience with cloud and containerization technologies such as AWS and Docker.
• Experience with code repository management, code merge, and code quality checks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Skills & Experience:
 

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Proficiency in CMake.
• Experience with package managing systems e.g. Conan.
• Experience with Artifactory and SonarQube.
• Experience with QNX and Yocto.
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack).
• Experience working in medical devices.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.

Other Requirements:

• This role may require up to 10% travel.
