About the role

The AI team at Agile Robots is seeking a dedicated Senior Software Engineer with experience in Data and Monitoring Systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of industry experience, with proven expertise in logging, monitoring, and dashboarding solutions that support infrastructure and development teams. 

This role has a strong focus on production line logging, so prior hands-on experience in this area is highly desirable. 

Your Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other team members to evaluate and improve existing systems/pipelines.
  • Designing, creating and maintaining central solutions to ship /serve logs, metrics.
  • Supporting product development teams with best practices, standards, libraries and "how to's" regarding topics like Metrics & Monitoring, Logging, Tracing (so Observability).
  • Defining and building APIs and integrations with various systems- operated by our customers. Mostly focusing on reporting/exporting data we collected from Metrics and Logs.
  • Set up and maintain our data collection pipeline both on-prem and in the cloud
  • Create ETL pipelines and data import/export functionality to support the use of different data sources in a unified way
  • Participate in data collection campaign and support the creation of data engineering infrastructure
  • Design and creation of dashboards showing the data collected from different sources.
  • Support the creation of an MLOps pipeline for feeding the collected data to training of large models.
  • Collaborate with on-site engineers in deploying and evaluating our solutions and collecting feedback on their usage. This includes travelling to our deployment sites, primarily China (up to 40% of the time depending on the stage of the project), 
Beneficial Skills
  • Experience with Grafana dashboards.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge in C# and Golang are a plus.
  • Experience in the manufacturing and production lines domain.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in Chinese (Mandarin).
Your Profile
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Ability to write production quality code, including unit/integration tests. 
  • Knowledge in Python, C++ or NodeJS
  • Good knowledge and understanding of application design, coding and integration patterns.
  • Hands on experience with Docker technology.
  • Understanding of and ability to design APIs.
  • Experience with databases (SQL, MongoDB, MinIO/S3)
  • As a team player you support knowledge-sharing and enjoy working in an international team.
  • Availability to mainly work on-site at our headquarters in Munich.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.  
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English.
