As a Senior Data & GenAI / ML Engineer (f/m/d), you will work at the intersection of data engineering, GenAI/LLM productization and solution architecture, with a focus on solving real problems, not chasing buzzwords.
marktguru is a data-driven tech company working at the intersection of FMCG offer data, product intelligence, and consumer insights. Our platform helps users make smarter shopping decisions and supports retailers and brands with powerful data products. Over the past two years, we've built a modern data platform on Databricks (Azure). We're now looking for someone to help us evolve that platform further - scaling data pipelines, integrating GenAI capabilities, and owning end-to-end solutions across our data stack.
5+ years of experience in data engineering or building production-grade data platforms
Strong skills in Python, SQL, and PySpark
Experience working with Databricks on Azure
Familiarity with LLMs and GenAI workflows (prompting, embedding or fine-tuning)
Built at least one LLM or Vision-AI feature that reached production users (prompt engineering, embeddings or fine-tuning)
Comfortable working hands-on across multiple layers of the data stack
Hands-on experience with computer vision models eg. VLMs
Interest in or experience with event-driven or streaming architectures
MLOps/LLMOps experience: MLflow, experiment tracking, model registry, and deploying models as part of data pipelines
Informal or formal experience as a solution architect or technical lead
German reading skills - useful for understanding product and offer data, but not required. All documentation, code, and communication are in English.

For this position, we offer a gross annual salary starting at €75.000. Depending on your qualifications and experience, we are of course open to overpayment.
