Product Manager - Self-Service Data Platform (m/f/d) in Renewable Energies

What you can expect:

As a Product Manager at Asset Ocean, you will assume full ownership of our customer-facing application, a self-service tool for stakeholders managing and analyzing renewable energy data. Your focus will be on scaling the MVP into a powerful, intuitive self-service platform, balancing technical complexity with usability. You will operate at the intersection of data, software engineering, BI, and user needs, ensuring our product meets business requirements while being scalable and intuitive. As a Product Manager, you will take on the responsibilities of a Product Owner within the development team, ensuring a seamless connection between strategy and execution. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer (CPO), you will balance hands-on operational work with strategic contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Roadmap Ownership: Prioritize features, define goals and objectives, and drive product discovery.
• Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team to define technical solutions and ensure efficient execution.
• Platform Scaling: Scale the MVP into a robust, high-performing platform for our customers.
• UX Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers to make data-heavy workflows intuitive and accessible through self-service capabilities.
• BI Collaboration: Collaborate with BI Specialists to enhance data accessibility and insights for users.
• User Engagement: Engage directly with users (Encavis stakeholders) to understand needs and drive adoption.
• Leadership: Guide the engineering team with strong leadership and decision-making.
• Data-Driven Approach: Ensure a data-driven approach, making informed decisions based on analytics and user feedback.

Your profile:

• Experience: Proven experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner in B2B SaaS, AI/data products, or platform development.
• Mindset: Analytical, structured, and fast-paced mindset with a hands-on attitude.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills (without needing formal people management experience).
• Scaling Experience: Experience in scaling digital products from MVP to a mature platform.
• Methodologies: Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and modern product management practices.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; fluency in German is a strong plus.
• Startup Experience: Experience in a startup or scale-up environment is highly advantageous.
