We are seeking a Process Architect & Data Steward - Logistics & Distribution (m/f/d) to lead the transformation of our global Transportation Operations. In this strategic role, you will work closely with our business transformation teams to design and implement modern logistics & distribution processes and IT-templates. Furthermore, you will define and manage data policies, data governance frameworks, and data object definitions for Master Data within the domain Ship-to-Deliver. Your proven business acumen in transportation management combined with expertise in managing master data - ideally SAP TM -, will be crucial in guiding the successful rollout of innovative solutions at more than 100 locations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Process Design & Standardization:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional business teams to define and optimize logistics & distribution processes that align with our global strategy.

    • Develop clear, business-focused process models and IT templates tailored for various transportation scenarios.

    • Ensure process designs support business goals, enhance efficiency, and comply with industry best practices.

  • Global Transformation Leadership:

    • Serve as a key business leader in our global transformation program, partnering with stakeholders and regional teams.

    • Oversee the strategic deployment of SAP TM-based solutions, ensuring alignment with our operational and commercial objectives.

    • Facilitate communication between business units and IT teams to ensure a seamless integration of new processes.

  • Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Lead change management initiatives to drive adoption of new practices across global sites.

    • Provide training, support, and clear guidance to ensure business teams understand and embrace new ways of working.

    • Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring that local business needs are reflected in global process standards.

  • Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:

    • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the new logistics & distribution processes.

    • Analyze feedback and performance data to drive continuous improvements and ensure sustainable business results.

    • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to keep our global operations at the forefront of innovation.

  • Data Governance & Policy Development:

    • Define, implement, and maintain comprehensive data policies and governance frameworks.

    • Develop clear data object definitions tailored to Master Data requirements.

    • Ensure all data governance initiatives adhere to industry regulations and quality standards.

  • Global Collaboration & Implementation:

    • Partner with approximately 40 manufacturing sites to standardize and implement master data practices.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing) to align data strategies.

    • Facilitate communication and training sessions to promote data literacy and governance best practices across the organization.

  • Operational Data Management:

    • Oversee and manage data cleansing activities to maintain data integrity and accuracy.

    • Lead data migration efforts during business transformation projects, ensuring smooth and error-free transitions.

    • Monitor data quality metrics and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.

  • Issue Resolution & Support:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for master data-related issues.

    • Provide guidance and support to data experts across various sites.

    • Address and resolve discrepancies or challenges in data management processes promptly.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Professional Experience:

    • Extensive experience in logistics, within a global, business-focused environment.

    • Proven track record in designing and implementing process improvements and IT solutions for transportation management – ideally with SAP TM.

    • Experience in leading business transformation programs and deploying standardized solutions across multiple locations.

    • Strong background in managing change and engaging diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced, international setting.

    • Proven experience in data management, data governance, or a similar role within the Pharmaceutical, MedTech, or a similarly regulated industry.

    • Demonstrated expertise in master data management, including data cleansing and data migration processes.

  • Business & Technical Acumen:

    • Deep understanding of transportation, logistics, and inventory management from a business perspective.

    • Familiarity with SAP TM and its role in driving operational efficiency and business performance.

    • Ability to bridge the gap between technical IT teams and business units, ensuring clear communication and effective implementation.
