About the Role:
As the Manager Data Centre (MDC), you will lead the day-to-day operations of one or more data centre sites, ensuring they perform at peak efficiency, reliability, and safety. You’ll be the single point of contact for all site-related activities and accountable for aligning site operations with our four strategic pillars:

Reporting to the Group Data Centre Manager, you will lead a team of Site Engineers and Technicians and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to uphold the highest standards across site operations, asset management, capacity planning, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full accountability for site safety, governance, and compliance, including supplier permits, health & safety standards, and power guidelines.
  • Oversee the condition and performance of all site assets, including BMS, DCMS, and alarm monitoring systems.
  • Lead the execution of maintenance (preventive and corrective), upgrades, cross-connects, and customer requests with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Manage capacity and asset planning (Power / Cooling / Space) and contribute to long-term site development plans.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by monitoring SLAs, participating in customer audits, and supporting site tours.
  • Own the site risk register, incident response process, and problem resolution efforts.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation including SOPs, EOPs, MOPs, BCPs, and SLDs.
  • Lead and develop your team through effective people management, coaching, resource planning, and performance development.

Your Profile:

  • Extensive experience in mission-critical environments (Data Centres, Telecoms, etc.)

  • Experience leading technical teams, with strong people management skills

  • Solid background in facilities, asset, and vendor management

  • Proficient with maintenance systems (Excel to enterprise-level)

  • Technically qualified (HNC or equivalent); BIFM and ITIL are a plus

  • Strong communicator with a proactive, hands-on approach

  • Highly organized, calm under pressure, and results-driven

  • A customer-first mindset with a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement

  • Able to balance technical depth with big-picture leadership

  • Fluent in both German and English.
