To support their growing operations, they are seeking a (Junior) DevOps Engineer/System Administrator. This role involves managing and scaling infrastructure, automating deployments, and enhancing system performance in a rapidly expanding business. The ideal candidate will have experience with Debian Linux, Saltstack (or similar tools), and scripting, along with a hands-on mindset and strong teamwork skills.
Your Responsibilities
- Work as a Team: Enhance the existing team with your expertise as a DevOps Engineer and work closely with developers on scaling the company systems in a rapidly growing environment. You will also support monitoring and analyzing applications.
- Take Responsibility: Manage and configure the servers with centralized configuration using Saltstack and play a key role in expanding the DevOps area and implementing new process structures.
- Improve Products: Set up, manage, and expand servers across the entire rental car business. You will also implement backup and monitoring strategies in your daily work.
- Deliver Projects: Enhance deployment processes (Continuous Integration) and take over the automation of system configurations (scripting).
Requirements
Practical Experience: Initial work experience as a System Administrator in Debian Linux and rollout systems such as Saltstack, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Ideally, first experience with programming languages like Python or PHP.
Tech Stack: Strong knowledge of Shell scripting and configuring Nginx, PHP-FPM, and MySQL (including replication, backups, etc.). Basic knowledge in network infrastructure and routing (firewall, VLAN, routing, etc.).
Digital Mindset: Interest in working with Elasticsearch and Redis, as well as a passion and knowledge of Docker-based deployment environments.
Drive & Spirit: High quality awareness, hands-on mentality, enthusiasm for development, excellent communication skills, teamwork, and a high level of motivation.
Language Skills: Fluent German and good English skills.
