Freelance Lecturer Data Engineering

We are currently looking for a freelance lecturer (m/f/d) to teach the course DS 11 – Data Warehouse, starting in the Winter semester 2025.

The course consists of 3 hours of teaching per week over 14 weeks, plus supervision and assessment of a final paper. 

Module content includes: 

• Core concepts and architecture of data warehouses
• ETL processes and data integration techniques
• Use of SQL and other tools to manage structured data
• Data modeling and database optimization strategies
• Real-world applications and analytical use cases

YOUR IMPACT

As a lecturer for this course, you will:

• Deliver practice-oriented sessions on data warehousing, database technologies, and analytics pipelines
• Guide students through practical challenges in data modeling, data integration, and query optimization
• Supervise and assess a final written assignment demonstrating applied data warehouse knowledge

We are looking for someone who: 

• Holds at least a Bachelor’s degree (field of study is flexible with relevant professional experience)
• Brings professional experience in data engineering, IT systems, or data science
• Has a solid understanding of data warehouse architecture, database systems, and data processing workflows
• Communicates fluently in English (C1 or above) – no formal proof 
• Enjoys teaching and mentoring students in a dynamic, digital-first learning environment
